Artist of the Month July-Aug 2017

Milena Minchio - an exhibition of photographic works at the Cardwell Library Gallery Space.

Milena has been interested in photography since her school years. She completed an external photography course and has been snapping images ever since; She mainly take landscape shots and views her photography is a hobby.

Milena has a micro hobby business based in Ingham where she prints photos, mainly on canvas. Most of the prints are laminated, with a clear laminate that is not detectable, this makes it easy to clean the finished canvas without damaging the print.

The aim is to capture the natural colours and light in her photographs and in general prefer to rely on the actual image captured rather than adjusting, changing or correcting using photo editing programs. I save the clever editing programs for touch ups on old photo’s for customers where they need to be reprinted.
