Governor of Qld visits Cardwell Gallery

Her Excellency Ms Penelope Wensley AC Governor of Queensland visited Cardwell Gallery today followed by a formal lunch, tree planting and presentation at the library

A perfect morning in Cardwell by the Sea - Her Excellency Ms Penelope Wensley AC Governor of Queensland walked part of the foreshore Wetlands Walk guided by Judy Netterfield & Daryl Dickson, looking at the artworks in the pathways. HRA secretary Jane Arnold (potter) & Judy Netterfield, treasurer (artist) opened the gallery for the Governor and her party to enjoy our local artists work just before the formal lunch held by CCRC at the Library where the Mayor and council presented a framed limited edition print "Moonlight Glider" to the Governor.  Wonderful to have one of our artist's work chosen for the presentation! - A BIG DAY - well done all and wonderful to have David Rowe's exhibition in the foyer gallery and our gallery packed full of wonderful work to showcase - the Governor is an art lover and enjoyed her visit and is taking a little bit of iconic Cardwell home too....
