An exhibition celebrating the beauty of the Pied Imperial Pigeon and telling the story of the Citizen Science Project- bird count that has taken place on Brook Islands for over 50years. A celebration of Art-Science-Citizen- History The team are seeking the next generation of counters. Information day will be held on November 9th 1-4pm Cardwell Library
Wildlife Queensland (Wildlife Preservation Society Qld) Cassowary Coast Hinchinbrook Branch are members of our Art Group. The late Margaret Thorsborne AO was a founder member, artists and volunteer with the Cardwell Gallery for many years. This exhibition tells the story of the Citizen Science Project that she and her husband Arthur started in 1965.
The exhibition included a copy of Margaret's pigeon count graph, hand painted an added to each year right up until Margaret's death in 2018.
