Kathy Littlemore

Kathy Littlemore

A multi passionate creative and author of the ABC Bunyip children’s picture books, Kathy firmly believes that reading truly is a super power, and creates books of many layers, to empower kids one Aussie picture book at a time, with the emphasis of lifting the lid on Aussie culture.

A “who dunnit” novel is in the planning stages.

Kathy grew up in Innisfail where she was immersed in the performing arts and  considered the North Queensland Conservatorium of Music, or The Con as it is now known, to be her playground. Her first job was as a classical ballet teacher, having made the tough choice to turn down the opportunity to perform in Giselle with the Townsville based North Queensland Ballet Company (now Dance North).

After her marriage, she and her husband moved around the country for work with Kathy photographing the landscapes from the ground and the air. For pleasure, the couple travelled the world, photographing incredible landscapes, and wildlife including polar bears in the wild.

An accidental encounter at the Apple shop in Perth, found her engrossed in digital painting and subsequently following Youtube videos to develop her skills in Procreate.

Recently, Kathy and her husband Chris and Dalmatian dog Max, returned to their happy place and have settled at Tully Heads where each day starts with a walk on the beach to inhale the joy of beach living and capture an image or three.

Readers begged for more ABC Bunyip adventures, so three more titles are in progress. Visit https://kathylittlemore.comfor more details.
